We still love you very much and have lots of plans for this year including heading out to South by Southwest music festival in March stopping to play a few shows along the way in Texas, and a glorious month long Monday residency in Los Angeles at our second home ‘the Echo’.
Please check out a new hilarious video we made regarding some of these announcements here:

News!
Hey, we don’t mean to toot our own horns, but the album is coming out really cool. We are mastering first thing February so the race is on to put the best 10 or so of these (15) tracks together and call it an album. We will have updates on that, streamable tracks, and shocking additional news later this month. Brace your shit.
Daniel has all kinds of conspiracy theories, Ethan won’t cut it out with the magic tricks, Adam is filming all kinds of shit in HD that should never be in HD, Hunter learned how to spell dessert VS desert recently (so sad), Aaron has tons of shit from Keihl’s to make his skin silky soft, and Sara dyed her hair brown. No lie.
Love,
Us
Tusk!
Fleetwood Mac. You like them. We like them. We like them so much we are doing a whole set of FMAC covers, and our best to vaguely (and in some cases creepily) dress up like them while playing this set.
[LA] HALLOWEENISH BASED COVER SHOW @ THE ECHO
TUES 10/27, (18+ / $5 / FREE w/ costume)
1822 W. Sunset, Echo Park 90026
It’s not just us doing a set of covers. Our friends in The Karabal Nightlife, the Monolators, and the Voyeurs will be performing as T-Rex, ABBA, and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
It will be insane for sure. You will be very sorry if you miss this one – we’ve got Brittney from the Damselles sitting in with us on vocals for 3 part harmonies the whole show. We will blow your face off with FMAC.

News!
Still finishing overdubs on the new full length. A few more vocals, a lot of strings, and some autoharp action too. It’s turning out to be quite epic of an album. We will have to weed it down to the best of about 15 tracks in the end.
Other than that: Hunter has back pain and feels like an old man. Sara is going to San Antonio to revive her inner Texan. Aaron owns six basses and plays one. Adam’s cool pedal is broken and he keeps forgetting until we get to practice. Daniel is frustrated with Mick Fleetwoods consistancy of drum patterns. Ethan just acquired some Beatles multitrack sessions and is planning a total remix of the entire collection ‘his way’. This last fact clearly pushes our album’s finish date to 2013. Psych!

Advanced Forewarning,
Some months back, Radio Free Silver Lake (a wonderful source for new music and LA show info) and New & Used Records (a similarly awesmatic blog and label based in San Francisco) devised a sweet ass plan to trade off hosting great local shows featuring a bands from each other’s respective music scenes.
This is totally cool because newer bands who may have no problem filling their home town clubs often find themselves marooned in strange new cities without the support of local bands/audiences/press to break them in.
Back in April we were the featured band of the first show of this series hosted at El Rio in San Francisco with local (and awesome) band French Miami supporting and basically supplying the audience. Now it’s our turn to host, and we are totally stoked to announce the first local LA concert.
So with the help of Flavorpill, and INDIE Online Radio here is the all new “LA (heart) SF” concert series.
We can comfortably promise more than our usual share of surprises and lustre the likes of which you won’t want to miss.
LA (heart) SF – [LA] @ THE ECHO
FTO w/ French Miami, the Monolators, Kissing Cousins,
& special guests the Damselles / Thursday, July 16 8:30pm (18+ / $5)
We have no shame in saying that all these bands are totally awesome. No lie.
If you live in LA, don’t miss this show.
Love,
FTO
